I feel like this camera was overdue, at least compared to its predecessor the RX-100 Mark V. What you get is a faster camera, new extended range lens, Hybrid Log for video recording, one-step EVF, Sony's most advanced eye focus tracking technology, a more flexible touchscreen, high frame rate mode for full HD up to 960 fps, and a few extra hundred dollars more expensive.
However, what you lose is the faster lens of the Mark V and built-in ND filter. Those are two not so small losses for some people.
Still missing is a microphone input jack. What gives Sony? Even my x3000 has a microphone input jack!
